Andrew Friedland (he/him)

Growing up in New York City, I've been exposed to a breadth of different cultures and people, which has fueled my interest in international studies. Through the Altman Program, I'm excited to study abroad and learn more about people around the world. After getting involved with different clubs on campus, I've discovered that I'm interested in pursuing a career in finance, consulting, or real estate.

Ari Daube (he/him)

I’m Ari Daube from Northampton, Massachusetts, pursuing majors in Finance and Political Science at Tulane University. I’m a member of the Delta Sigma Pi pre-professional fraternity and am excited to be a new Altman Scholar. My goals include graduating with two degrees and becoming fluent in Spanish to pursue a career in investment banking after college. I look forward to studying abroad in Vietnam after my freshman year, followed by a semester in Spain and another in Latin America during my junior year. Outside of academics, I enjoy outdoor activities like running and cycling.

Paolo Freccia (he/him)

I have always wanted to live an interesting and globally exposed life full of constant new cultural experiences and learning opportunities. I enjoy traveling and experiencing new architecture, geography, and languages, and I aspire to pursue a career in the financial business sector. Through the Altman Program, I hope to gain the knowledge base to combine my interests in business and finance with my interests in developing my global perspective. In my career, I hope to live and work around the globe, specifically immersing myself in the developing Latinx world.

Gabe Pizzolatto (he/him)

My name is Gabe Pizzolatto, and I am a Tulane University Student in the Altman Program In International Studies & Business. I am majoring in Business Management and Political Science. My target language is Spanish, and I plan on studying abroad in Spain and Colombia. 

Gabriela Suarez Alarcon (she/her)

Growing up in such a dynamic and culturally diverse place has led me to study International Relations and Finance. Through this, I hope to bridge cultural and social gaps to promote understanding globally. My open-mindedness and compassion allow me to understand diverse perspectives; skills that could help me to succeed in the world of business or diplomacy. Some of my passions include community service, language and culture learning, and diplomacy. Through my areas of study, I hope to become a foreign service officer or work abroad in the development of businesses.

Gabriela "Gaby" Dubovoy (she/her)

I am a determined student who has chosen to pursue majors in International Relations and Finance. I have chosen Spanish as my target language because of its utility in this increasingly interconnected world. I am interested in the ways that International Relations and Finance will intersect and allow me to solve real-world problems and make decisions. Through my studies in Spanish, I will gain a cultural awareness that will allow me to relate to more individuals across the world. I look forward to diversifying my extracurriculars and exploring my interests in finance, politics, and law.

Kaavya Thirumurugan (she/her)

I’m so excited to combine my passions of foreign diplomacy and legal advocacy through my majors in International Relations and Legal Studies in Business. With French as my target language, I’m broadening my understanding of unique cultural perspectives and enhancing my ability to navigate global legal challenges. Driven by a desire to enter corporate law, I hope to engage in meaningful community service projects and foreign-policy-related research initiatives during my time in Altman. I also look forward to exploring finance-related courses to complement my growing legal expertise.

Lindsay Carstairs (she/her)

Lindsay is studying international relations and marketing. In high school, she was an honors student, AP Scholar with Distinction, varsity athlete, and improv team member. She was President of a local iCAN chapter dedicated to health equity, advocacy, leadership, and service. She earned the 2023 and 2024 President’s Gold Volunteer Service Award. She is the 2024 Military Child of the Year and a 2024-2025 Pedro Zamora Young Leaders Scholar, reflecting her academic accomplishments, leadership, service, advocacy, and activism.

Nina Ziff (she/her)

I am a motivated student pursuing a dual degree in International Relations and Business with a Spanish Language concentration through the Altman Scholars Program at Tulane University. My goal is to merge my interests in business, international affairs, and Spanish into a meaningful career. My objective is to be part of a team that can create win/win relationships on a global basis for economic, cultural, and/or educational benefit.
