Carson Clunis (she/her)

As an Altman Scholar, I have developed a strong foundation in international business and language, reinforced through executive leadership roles in Delta Sigma Pi and the student organizations "One Love" and "Students Against Food Insecurity." My experiences span from private equity internships to community service leadership, where I've focused on global outreach, food insecurity, and advocacy. I have always been driven by a commitment to leadership, teamwork, cultural understanding, and service work.

Luka Komives (he/him)

Second-year student pursuing majors in Finance (B.S.M.), International Relations (B.A.), and minor in Spanish. My interpersonal skills and adaptability have helped me assume impactful leadership roles among diverse people and navigate new challenges in academic, athletic, and international settings. I attended a public high school in Washington, DC, where I developed interests in international affairs, global finance, and business. The Altman Program has provided unique opportunities for me to travel outside the United States and pursue a dual degree in these subjects.

Maria Avila (she/her)

I am originally from El Salvador, but I moved to Aurora, OH, when I was ten. I am majoring in Marketing and International Relations, with minors in French and Management. Currently, I am undecided as to what I see myself doing in the future, but I would love to work in international business or foreign affairs. Additionally, I want to return to live in France, where I can continue to speak French and travel constantly!

Mary Kate Johnson (she/her)

I am majoring in Legal Studies in Business and International Relations, with a minor in French. On campus, I am a member of Greek life and am involved in the Civic Engagement Coalition. Sometime in the future, I plan on pursuing a career in Law correspondence or corporate Law. My favorite activity this past year was volunteering with Court Watch NOLA through my Discriminatory Law class at Tulane. I enjoy exploring New Orleans, spending time with friends, and practicing yoga.

Cate Cannon (she/her)

I am a junior at Tulane University pursuing a dual degree in Finance and International Relations with a minor in Spanish. I am studying abroad in Seville, Spain (Fall) and Madrid, Spain (Spring) for the 2024-2025 academic year. During my time in Seville, I am completing an internship as an Assistant English Teacher at a local school. In the Summer of 2025, I will be a Real Estate Investment Banking Intern at Raymond James. I really enjoy discovering areas where IR and finance intersect, as I think both fields can be deeply integrated with one another.
