Biography
Ahana Louzado is a Senior studying International Relations and Legal Studies in Business. She is passionate about language learning and spent her junior year in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Bogotá, Colombia. On campus, she is involved in Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity and the Tulane Journal of Policy and Political Economy.

- Department of Political Science, Tulane University - Research Assistant (January 2025 – Present)
• Assisting Political Science Professor Rains in research on the political behavior of women in Indian informal settlements by analyzing and coding interview transcripts using NVivo
• Developing an original framework to measure upward mobility for women in Indian slums, filling a gap in existing research, and applying the framework to examine caste-based differences in women’s mobility outcomes
- Tulane Institute on Water Resources Law and Policy - Research Intern (August 2024 – Present)
Research federal and state legislation and policies related to the environment and drafting memoranda.

Assist the Executive Programming Director in organizing and hosting on-campus events on policy, politics, and economics.

I plan to work in research, policy, or service, ideally focused on development and social impact in the Global South.
