Keeping up with Altmans: Josie Barton Featured in Freshman Reading Project Video

Josie Barton, co-founder of Not On My Campus Tulane

Altman junior Josie Barton was invited to speak about the 2018 Freshman Reading Project. Josie is a co-founder of Not On My Campus Tulane, a sexual assault prevention and awareness organization on campus.

She says, “Beartown, this year’s book, deals with sexual assault just as my 2016 reading project did when I was an incoming freshman. Sexual assault prevention is incredibly important to me, and it began with my participation in my own reading project. I encourage every freshman to take part and begin educating themselves on this important subject.” See what Josie says about the book in the Freshman Reading Project video.

Not On My Campus invites the Tulane community to take the pledge to end the silence surrounding sexual assault and create a safe environment for all students at Tulane. Find out more about Not On My Campus on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NOMCTU and on Instagram: @notonmycampustu.

Thank you for promoting a safer and more peaceful campus, Josie!
