2021 Cohort

 

The Class of 2021 is the sixth cohort to graduate as Altman scholars. We've seen this group explore diverse career paths far and wide, from teaching English abroad to analyzing data for the Federal Reserve Bank to community engagement work right here in New Orleans. We know they will carry their goodness and kindheartedness with them wherever they are.

Alec Devaprasad: BA in Political Science - International Development, BSM in Finance;  Spanish & Portuguese target languages;   junior year abroad in Sao Paulo, Brasil and Bogota, Colombia;  Students Organizing Against Racism;  independent research on the education system in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico; internship with Our Voice/Nuestra Voz;  long-term plans include involvement in some sort of journalism/community organizing/radical movement building.

Ava Godsy: BA in Sociology and BSM in Management Consulting; French target Language;  junior year abroad in Lyon and Rouen, France;  Resident Advisor, Career Management Center, Teacher Assistant for Professor Tim West; internships with the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis; working in HR data analytics for the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis in MO.

Bianca Pelletti: BA in Environmental Studies and BSM in Finance;  German target language;  junior year abroad in Berlin, Germany;  Dean's List;  worked on campus in Finance department, French department, Tutoring Center, as a Teaching Assistant, and as a private tutor;  internships with Mighty Earth, LifeCity LLC, Serengeti Asset Management, and Evercore ISI; completed the TEFL Certification and plans to teach English in Taipei, Taiwan.

Caroline Flynn: BA in Communication and BSM in Marketing;  Spanish target language;  junior year abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Madrid, Spain;  Honor's Program, Dean's List;  Crawfest - Board Member and Merchandise Manager;  Freeman Global Guides - Director of Career Development, Sigma Delta Tau Sorority, Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity;  internships with CARE Enterprises, Inc. Halley Wong: BA in Economics and BSM in Management;  Mandarin target language;  junior year abroad in Shanghai, China and Singapore;  Premier Scholar Award, Dean's List;  Pi Beta Phi, Special Olympics, Economics tutor, worked as a hostess at Lilette;  internships with ES Advertising, Special Service for Groups, and Ernst and Young;  working as a Structured Finance Analyst with Ernst&Young Consulting

Katie Latham: BA in Political Science - International Development and BSM in Finance;  French target language;  junior year abroad in Dakar, Senegal and Strasbourg, France;  Dean’s List, Boren Award Recipient;  Office of Study Abroad Peer Advisor, coach with Special Olympics, Director of Finance for Tulane Dance Marathon, TuPals buddy;  internships with Social Change Factory and The Carter Center;  awarded a Princeton in Africa Fellowship with the International Rescue Committee Sierra Leone.

Lucas Cerisola: BA in Economics and BSM in Finance;  French target language;  junior year abroad in Paris, France and Madrid, Spain;  Richard B. Fisher scholarship from Morgan Stanley;  Community Service Fellows - New Orleans Pelicans Community Service Division, Greenbull Investment Club;  internships with Owl Creek Asset Management and Morgan Stanley;  working for Morgan Stanley's Sales and Trading division in New York City, NY.

Margo Schnapf: BA in Political Science - International Development and BSM in Finance;  Spanish target language;  junior year abroad in Bogotá, Colombia and Quito, Ecuador;  Dean's List every semester, Honors Program, First place back to back in the Aaron J.
