Altman Program Lecture Series Fall 2019
The Altman Program sponsors both formal lectures open to the general Tulane population and informal talks by prominent figures in the business and liberal arts fields. Let’s take a look at some moments from events during the Fall 2019 semester.
October 31, 2019 - HE Ivan Korcok, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to the United States, Washington, D.C. spoke about the Velvet Revolution that took place in the former Czechoslovakia in 1989, and the effects that are still felt today.
September 12, 2019 - Michael Bartelle, Vice President of Overseas Operations for Andrews Federal Credit Union and former Commander Sergeant Major of NATO, discussed intercultural competence and adjusting to change.
November 14, 2019 - Alexandra Bell, Senior Policy Director at the Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation, lectured on past and present nuclear policy of the United States.
